Simac is one of the Founding Partners of the BrabantSport Fund. We will continue to wholeheartedly support this unique collaboration between the province of North Brabant and the Brabant business community in 2024. The aim of the Fund is to make people in all layers of society happier and healthier through sport. To achieve this, large sporting events are linked to social projects.
Sport is a connecting factor at BrabantSport
"For me, sport is part of daily life," says Simac's CEO Maartje van Schagen. "By participating in sports myself and also by enjoying sports as a spectator. Both actively and passively, sport provides happiness, health and connection, I am convinced of that. At the same time, we see in everyday practice that 1 in 10 children are overweight, over 40% of young adults suffer from stress, one in ten people over 75 feel lonely and more than 50% of people with disabilities do not get enough exercise. With the BrabantSport Fund, we are going to focus on those themes with sport as the connecting factor."
